• 538 = papacy gained an army
• 1798 = Deadly wound by the sword (Word of God – reformation),
• U.S.A. became recognized by the world as an independent nation in 1798
•  Rises up out of the sea
• Characteristics of a lamb and the Roman dragon
• Two horns like a lamb (freedom of religion and freedom of government – no pope, no king), but no crowns
• Will speak ‘as a dragon’ – will make laws governing how and when people will worship, just like in the Dark Ages.  A government speaks with its legislation
• Doug talked about the upcoming economic crisis
• It will make an image to the beast – not a statue – but laws and legislation

Rewards for Obedience

I have recently been convinced (through Amazing Facts as well as other timely reading) that drinking alcohol is a hindrance to my relationship with Christ.  Just as I have come to understand the blessing given for sexual purity (thoughts and deeds), I have a hunch that there may be a blessing awaiting me to claim for obedience to rejecting this temporal pleasure (of the flesh) as well.  Just as I have learned to call upon the Lord to shelter me from impure thoughts, I also can call upon Him to shelter me from other temptation (alcohol).  I need to:

1. Recognize the threat (either in advance or real-time)
2. Ask for shelter
3. Trust that shelter will be provided

Love Your Enemies

Love your enemies:

• Honor the symbols of Gods blessing in their life
• God has them on a path that is unknown to you
• Your actions overflow from your heart
• Establish ‘God names’ for them
• As opposed to ‘stupid’, ‘jerk’, etc
• Don’t carry around junk in your heart
• There’s a good chance that you’re not blessed like you could be because you are either talking smack or you are instigating.  Check your mouth
• One of the reasons people attack or talk bad about other people is because they have a problem with God
• You can monitor your relationship with God by how you talk about other people
•  Establish a humble name for yourself
• By putting someone down, you are demonstrating your need to put yourself above them
• If you were secure in your relationship with God, you would pull others up
•  Paint yourself accurately – as a sinner who needs God’s grace every day

Beast 1 = Roman Catholic church

Beast 2 = United States of America

Biblical numerical connotations / meanings:

• #40 represents a generation
• #12 represents the church
• #7 represents a complete cycle
• #3.5 represents a time of apostasy and rejection

The pope’s official title is Vicarius Filai Dei (probably misspelled) (Vicar of the son of God)

• Roman numerical value of the title is 666

The mark of God:

• You show you love somebody by doing the things that will make them happy.
• When you take away time, you take away relationship
• Did God pick the first day or the last day?
• Do we obey man or God?
• Genesis 2:2-3 seals the seventh day by stating it 3 times
• The Catholic Church admits to changing the Holy Day to Sunday, and claim it is proof of their authority (according to the Catechism)
• … but whosoever shall do and teach them [commandments], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:19)
• Are you waiting for the majority of religious leaders to recognize the truth?  Don’t follow the multitude, follow God’s word, and follow Christ (DWJD)
•  If you do what Jesus did, you are safe
• In the hand or in the forehead is symbolic for in the works or in the thoughts
• You can tell what’s in the heart based on what a person talks about

A law will be enacted that will force people to choose one way or another.  Persecution will try the church by fire – the true believers will be all that’s left.

Protected from Sexual Impurity

I have come to the realization that God has protected me all throughout my life from sexual impurity.  There are a number of instances where my  heart was bad, but God got in the way of me committing what could have been monumental mistakes.
