The Rock San Diego – 1/18/09 – Talent Potential
Posted on January 29th, 2009 No comments- When you are born into Christ, God gives you abilities and talents to overcome and defeat Satan
- You shall receive explosive power
- He’ll globalize your witness if you are obedient
- There is no power in your spoken word, unless it is of the Holy Spirit
- The Holy Spirit expresses power through each person uniquely
1 – Be personally set free from spiritual bondage
- Repent – don’t be a slave to sin
- You are becoming more and more free every day
- Take your gift and use it for God’s glory
- You are Heaven’s army – equipped with spiritual weapons
- Do your part as a part of the body of Christ
2 – Liberate other people
- If you’re not using your gifts to liberate other people, the devil has you very successfully distracted from your purpose
3 – Provide leadership over systems that protect spiritual liberation
- Don’t become like the Dead Sea – don’t hoard spiritual truth
- Get in the battle
- Rewards in Heaven are based on your faithfulness

The Rock San Diego – 1/11/09 – Time Potential
Posted on January 27th, 2009 No comments- God has given you time potential
- Potential of time, talent and treasure
- Consider your potential not in worldly perspective, but from God’s perspective
- You will be judged based upon what you did with what God gave you
- You will be graded based on your personal potential (what God has given you)
- To whom much has been given, much is required
- Before you were born, God knew you, and He knew how He wanted to use your gifts and talents
- Chronos time = the duration of something
- Hairos time = a moment, an event
- In heaven, your chronos time and your hairos moments are the same…
- He sees it all now
- A thousand years is one day and one day is a thousand years
- Because in heaven chronos and hairos times are established, we can plan accurately
- Reclaim the power of your time!
- If you can get in touch with God, He can give you your future
- There are some things that you have never seen and never heard that God wants to reveal to you now
- Ask God to show you yourself
- The Holy Spirit is there to assist you in making the right decision
- Let God guide your decisions. If you don’t get an answer, keep asking and obeying.
- If you’re not good at something, maybe you’re not supposed to be good at it
2 – Because in heaven chronos and hairos are combined, our time can be accelerated
- Joes 2:25 – I will restore what the locusts have eaten in your life
- God can catch you up – relationships restored, physical restoration
3 – Because in heaven chronos and hairos are "now" in the eyes of God, chronos time can be converted to hairos time
- Your life can be one special moment
- Your whole day – each second – is a hairos opportunity
- You can create hairos opportunities
- Pray, thank someone, tell someone they are a blessing
- Acts 17: 24-38
4 – Because in heaven chronos and hairos are protected, we can be confident that we can finish what God has established us to do
- There is specific work that God will appoint only to you
- As long as you’re obedient, no one can take God’s appointment for you
- Follow the crumbs and you’ll get there
- Even "bad" moments can become hairos moments
- Praise God for each moment and look for the opportunity to learn
- Find your ‘sweet spot’ where you can’t wait to wake up in the morning
5 – Because in heaven chronos and hairos are final, it is time for urgency
- Jesus Christ is coming back and you will be judged
- We are diamonds – we have no light in ourselves – our job is to reflect God’s glory back to Him
- He doesn’t want your power, He doesn’t want your ideas… He wants His
- MAKE EVERY MOMENT A HAIROS MOMENT
- You needed saving because who you were was not good enough
- Satan will give you every reason that exists to continue to float through life
- At the beginning of each week, make a list of things you will do / accomplish in the coming week.

SeaCoast Grace service – God is…
Posted on January 25th, 2009 No comments- God is in control
- God will provide
- God has purpose in each life
- God has a plan for you (will you allow it?)
- God is listening and hears you
- Our natural inclination is to hide from God
- I’ll handle this on my own
- What if God wasn’t a last resort?
- It’s less important how you pray than that you pray
- God reads your heart
- Pray with sincerity – like a child to a father
- Pray with confidence
- Remember who you’re talking to – Almighty God
- You are invited to prayer through grace – and receive grace because He loves you
- Change doesn’t come from self-examination, it comes from focus on god examination
- It’s not a matter of perspective, it’s a matter of trust (in God)
- We know what God’s intentions are – "All things together for good"
- If God said you could pray for one thing what would it be for you?
- When we pray, we must ask for His perspective
- Don’t depend on stuff (money, world), depend on God
- Listen in prayer, and receive His answers
- Asking in prayer is like lifting / releasing the outcomes to God

Asking for Protection from Myself
Posted on January 18th, 2009 No commentsPastor Doyle spoke about leaving unholy things behind us today in service. Then tonight, I got upset with [my middle daughter], and [my wife] mad a comment about a face I make when I get really upset. I realize that my anger often becomes rage far too quickly and easily.
I choose to ‘leave behind’ my anger.
Lord, please protect me from anger, especially with those who love me. -
SeaCoast Grace service
Posted on January 18th, 2009 No comments- Holy is a critical word – what is Holy?
- How is holy different that pure?
- 1 Peter 1:13-16
- There ought to be increasing evidence of Christ in your life
- To make the most out of life, be holy
- Holiness is internal, not external
- Is ‘holy’ even comprehensible?
- Moral integrity, absolute perfection, pure ~ holy
- Without a fresh glimpse of God, the people will self-destruct
- Worship is about keeping God in His place in our hearts – Holy and worthy of fear / reverence
- We are called to be holy
- God is inviting us to live the life He intended
- Need to delete unholiness from our lives from time to time (frequency will come from your level of focus)
- Protect yourself (with God’s help) from allowing unholiness to enter your life
- As you move toward holiness, it requires you to leave things behind (people, ideas, habits, attitudes, hurts, unforgiveness, unbelief, control)
- All we are truly capable of as Christians is being obedient – let Him be in charge
- Sanctification
- Christianity is a journey toward holiness, dropping off unholiness along the way
- Glimpse His holiness by studying His word
- Write letters to God
- Conform to God’s will and Christ’s likeness
- Put everything on the table and invite God to decide whether each "thing" is holy and / or leading to your holiness
- Not inviting Him to "inspect" is like hiding from Him
- Lord, show me what needs to be left behind

General Notes
Posted on January 16th, 2009 No comments- I need to understand that all security is false, other than the security in Jesus Christ. Even with a job, there’s only provision through God’s blessing. Imagine not having a job, and being totally dependent on God for provision, not knowing how or where it would come from. That sense, that need for trust, that dependence is real, with or without a job. When you let go of dependence on a job and trust in God’s provision, it opens up a new realm of blessings.
- Last night I told Jesus that I felt like our relationship was slipping and I wanted to be closer and better know His love and who He is. But I also prayed that I would remain devoted no matter what. Later, I woke up crying in joy from a dream I had where I got the impression that [my wife]had come to Christ.
