Frustration into Wisdom

I heard back from another pastor at The Rock Church in San Diego, and I’m disheartened and disillusioned by it, and need your guidance. I had originally asked for Miles review and feedback, but I can understand that he’s too busy to pay attention to someone he doesn’t know personally, regardless of how long I say I’ve been studying his sermons. I followed up with Miles’ assistant to accept his offer to connect me with another pastor at the Rock and this is the email I received: -

Posted on September 30th, 2010 No commentsLord, I’m so easily distracted. I come up with all sorts of reasons why I can’t spend time with you. I have to do this, I have to do that, I can’t while anyone’s around, etc, etc. I am truly sorry Lord. I pray that you would help me to make time for you.
Michael, I will not make you come to me; I will not make you seek my face or my wisdom or love. This must be a choice. Part of the blessing for you in it is because it is your choice and your choice alone.

I thank you for your work in him, and pray for your presence and healing with the issues he shared with me today. Give him peace Lord. Please help him understand what it truly means to trust you, to surrender control to you. I pray these things in your name, Christ Jesus, my Lord and Savior.

Spiritual lessons over loss of our pet
Posted on September 26th, 2010 No comments[My wife] and I decided today, after many months of consideration, to put our cat, Milo, ‘to sleep’. It was a very difficult and emotional decision. I went to the animal hospital to have it done, and have had a number of prayers and thoughts that I want to share.

Mysterious Ways

One of my clients has recently hired a social media marketing company to drive better market presence, and their intent was clearly on squeezing me out of the picture because they wanted the website management business as well. The company’s founder was completely disrespectful in all of her dealings with me, and unfortunately my client’s leadership and management is clearly lacking. In the end, I was struggling with whether to cut the client loose, which is hard for me to accept.

Less of Me

Anything that I could do on my own is wood, hay and stubble. I see that you are in the process of creating precious metals and stones through my life – materials that will survive a trial by fire. Thank you for that. I open my life to your calling and your will. I pray, as I have many times before, that thy will be done in, around and through my life.

No, it’s not. The shell is there, but there’s still no way for a user to register.

Intersection

This is some more thoughts about what’s going on right now. I was at lunch and just thinking about what’s going on right now. I’ve got stuff blowing up at work, I’ve got this thing happening with my prayer journal website, I’ve got the [client] website – [client]’s having issues with the graphic, then there’s [client] and [client] has to go to Joomla because of the social media people. It’s just like what is happening all at once.

Confused

Today I was listening to Miles’ sermon from this last weekend, and it’s interesting because I listened to it this morning on my way to work and there was a whole section of the message that I actually didn’t catch while I was driving and I don’t know why but I didn’t remember hearing it and as I’m listening to it back again, I realize that there’s a really pertinent section in the sermon that addresses when people think that they’re hearing from God and that God is providing them with insight, which is exactly what I have been thinking is what’s been happening in my prayer and what I’ve been building on so forth.
