  • Back for your direction

Lord Jesus, I’m back for your direction. I’ve emailed half of my clients to inform them of the change, and am waiting to hear back from anyone before emailing the other half tomorrow.

What would you have me do next.

Michael, simply take one step in faith. Everything is built one action at a time. You’re getting overwhelmed by thinking too far into the future, and contemplating the worst case scenario of losing clients. Leave that to me. Simply do the next thing – take the next step.

Well, that’s why I’m coming to you Lord, to have clarity about the next step.

Michael, you know the next step. Fulfill your promise to your clients. Produce your reporting and look for improvements to their results. You don’t need me to tell you that.

You’re right, of course. Why am I really coming to you then?

You’re seeking validation. You’re unsure. But I’m telling you that you can step forward in confidence. You got this Michael. Knock it out of the park.

    Ok…

No trepidation, no fear… just action. Do what you know needs to be done. One step at a time. Don’t get caught up in building process right now. That will slow you down. Just fulfill the service to your clients for a couple cycles and then look for improvements to the process. You will find them, but you can’t let yourself be distracted from the production work right now. Head down and crank out the work.

    Ok Lord. Thank you.

Lord is there anything else you want to share with me today? Any other direction?

Michael, I am overjoyed to be having this communion and dialog with you again. It’s been far too long for you. Don’t let this be something you only make time for when you have a purpose for it. Remember, that I have purpose in this, and it’s to mold you and groom you into the man I need you to be. If you are devoted to me, that’s all that should matter to you. All this other stuff is simply a means to an end. The end is growing into the man I need you to become. You can get there quickly through communion with me, or more slowly by learning the hard way of your own experience.

Isn’t experience the best way to learn?

No, Michael. You don’t need to experience something in order to understand it and in order to act upon your understanding. That’s where faith and trust come in. Have faith in me and my teaching. Don’t have faith in your experience, as it will most certainly mislead you.

Ok Lord, I understand. And I am sorry that it’s been so long since I’ve opened myself to this communion with you. I read my compiled list of learnings from the prior years of my prayer journaling and it was so inspiring and it brought me back to you. I guess that was the intent for BoW all along. Thank you for inspiring me to record all those posts and the compiled list of lessons. It has been and will always be my greatest treasure.

Michael, I have much in store for you. You can’t even begin to envision the responsibility and blessing that is within your reach. Continue to grow, come to me often, and all that I have in store for you will be yours. Not these earthly possessions, but true blessing and peace and abundance.

    I can’t wait Lord.

Be well Michael. Come back to me soon (and you don’t have to be prepared to journal about it either).

I know, and I will. Thank you Lord.

  • Back, with the right heart

Lord, I’m sorry about before. I was just excited about what I was reading about our relationship and the wisdom you’ve granted me over the years.

But you’re right, I wasn’t coming to you with the respect you deserve. I’m sorry.

It’s alright Michael. Your apology is not needed for me, but it puts your heart in the right state to receive what I would like to share.

Lord Jesus, what would you like to share with me?

Michael, you’re going through a rough time right now. A “tribulation” if you will. but as you know, your life was not meant to be easy.

You are being tested all the time. Your response to such tests mold you in new ways, and into the man you will become.

Lord are you proud of the man I am?

Michael, I’m proud of the man you are becoming.

That’s great to hear, thank you.

Don’t thank me. Your choices have led you to where you are. but also, do not swell your pride in thinking that it can’t all be swept away.

What you have built is an accomplishment, but it is still of this world. You can’t take it with you where you’re going. Yes, it will make your life more comfortable, and that’s a fine thing, but don’t look at it as something that you depend upon for strength or sanity.

I see what you mean. I am simply grateful. Grateful to you Lord, for equipping and guiding me. Grateful to my clients, who have entrusted me to help them grow their businesses, and grateful to Robert, who even though he’s acting the way he is, I am fortunate to have worked with him.

Michael, his time may be up, but that doesn’t mean that his contribution goes away. He’s…

I just pray that he doesn’t do anything to purposefully damage the business. Or that he doesn’t try to take clients.

Whether he does or doesn’t is up to him. That’s why it’s so important for you to consult with me about who you hire and work with. I can tell you whether the people you’re considering working with are of good character, so that if “bad things” happen, they’re character will guide how they deal with it.

I understand. I will “lean not on my own understanding”.

    That’s wise.

So what do I do based on where I am today.

Well, you will need to contact your clients. You’ll need to reassure them that they’re in excellent and capable hands. You need to reassure them that your #1 priority has, and always will be, to provide excellent service and value, and that hasn’t changed.

    Yeah…

Should I start looking for a replacement?

Not necessarily… as you talked about with Jen, there’s value in you taking on this management role for at least a few weeks. Give it your attention, raise the bar, and then reassess whether to bring someone on to handle the day to day work.

    Ok.

Michael, I will keep you safe.

    I know

Even if there is blowback from whatever Robert decides to do, you keep your character, and just realize that he’s struggling with his own demons.

    I will

    Let’s talk soon, okay?

    Yes, definitely. Thank you Lord.

  • I’m back!

Posted on June 23rd, 2017 michael No comments

    Lord, I’m back!

    I can’t believe it’s been so long…

    Almost 4 years???

And what brings me back? Of course… troubles.

    I’m in trouble Lord.

    My business is in trouble.

What I’ve worked so hard for, seems to be teetering practically on the verge of collapse.

I could go on, but I really want to experience communion with you again.

I’ve been reading my Proof of God page, and am absolutely inspired!

WOW! How amazing that I’ve had such incredible relationship and communion with you over the years!

How awesome the wisdom that you’ve provided to me.

And how CRAZY it is that I took the time not only to blog about it, but then to organize it and summarize key learnings into short blurbs for easy reading.

Simply fantastic. That’s the influence you’ve had on me.

And I can see the lasting impact those years have had on me.

I am unwavering when it comes to my integrity, and doing the “right thing” whether in family relationships, friendships, or business relationships.

    I thank you for that.

But again, I would like nothing more than to record our communion again Lord.

    Is that what you want?

    Um… maybe…

Michael, you’re being very flippant about something that is not an issue you should take lightly.

The world would like you to be flippant about your relationship with me, and with many other matters. But I do not regard our relationship in such ways.

You’d best regroup and come back to me when your heart is right.

I’m sorry Lord. You’re right. Thank you for setting me straight.
