Conduit For Christ
Posted on June 29th, 2010 No commentsThis is an analogy that could be helpful in viewing my life as it relates to what Christ intends to do with it.
- Conduit
- A pipe for water or other fluid
- Holy water? Or corrupted water coming from your life?
- Which source are you connected to?
- Can connect with the holy source by simply identifying it and accepting it.
- Once connected, your job is to allow Jesus to clean your heart, so that the holy water flowing in doesn’t become contaminated or stopped up before flowing out into the world.
- As a conduit, you recognize that God is the source of any / all power evidenced in your life.
- This analogy doesn’t attempt to reconcile with doctrine in any comprehensive fashion. It’s meant to provide perspective.
- Junk could be built up inside without even knowing it’s there – ask Jesus to help you identify it and clean it out.
- God may ask you to point yourself in a specific direction so that his power is directed that way.
- Prayer is the means of receiving direction. Prayer and Bible study helps you identify the ‘junk’. Jesus cleans you out – you can’t do it yourself.
- Junk gets built up because of circumstance and sin (decision / will)
