Waiting on the Lord

In prayer today, I felt the Lord impress upon me that I have a tendency to race ahead of him. He asked me to let him carry me, not to try to fly on my own.

With regard to my ‘calling’, I felt that he was saying that I’m on the right path, his path, and not to make any changes right now – I’m not quite ready. Any big change will feel more natural, less like I’m stepping off a cliff, and more like a natural progression, but still acting in faith. I also got the distinct impression that I need to learn to let go of things in my life that are not of God, so that I can allow him to lift me up.
