  • Love – Peace – Prosperity

I asked for God to teach me about distraction. At first, nothing. Patience… Repeated the request. Then, answers. He said:

Distractions are among your biggest enemies.

    Wow… He said:

Fear is a huge distraction. How you choose to spend your time can be distraction. Sin is distraction – from your purpose in life. I created you to have a relationship with me. Anything that gets in the way of that relationship is distraction, and potentially, sin. Lust, lying, greed (stealing), idol worship – all forms of distraction from your purpose.

What you truly want is peace – the kind of peace that only I can give you. To be able to claim that peace, first you must love. Then you will prosper.

I’m thinking that prosperity in God’s terms is not the same as in my terms.

What do you mean by prosperity, Lord?

    Abundance.

    Abundance of what?

It is a feeling that cannot be measured. I will fill you up and you will hardly believe you spent so much time focusing on the wordly.

Lord, what is the best way for me to remain focused on you?

Take note what you love to do. Not what you’re addicted to, but what you love. Use that toward my glory.

Does developing a website have anything to do with that?

You have the skills right now to do what I intend. You’re simply distracted.

Are the website ideas a distraction?

They could be. It depends whether each one is focused on my glory.

Well then is work a distraction? I work to pay bills and for some personal fulfillment.

Then you answered your own question.

Can I do what I’m doing, where I’m doing it, for your glory? If so, how?

It’s a matter of sincere intent.

So, I can do something that, on the surface, appears to be for your glory, but if my sincere intent is otherwise then it’s really just a distraction?

Yes. You’re now ready to act. Do what you love to do for my glory.

    Yes, Lord. Thank you.

If the intent is right, I will use it and bless it.
