Was Jesus’ Death a Sacrifice to God?

Chuck Missler likes to say ‘what did creation cost God – a breath; and what did redemption cost – His son’.  But I’m not sure that ‘His son’ would even be considered a cost to God… what does He really care about our physical body?  Christ was sent for a purpose – it was an accomplishment, as Chuck likes to say – there is no loss or cost to God’s perfect plan.
