Healthy Pregnancy

[My wife] is clearly struggling with nausea, but I don’t know what to do about it.

My Lord and Holy Spirit, please reveal to me how I can support my wife as she carries our baby.  I pray that you would keep the baby and her as healthy as possible throughout her pregnancy and thereafter.  Amen.

In Kirkwood

[My wife] and I have been watching a DVD called Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage.  I think it’s been very good material, and presents information in a biblical way, but has spoken to [my wife] in a way that doesn’t come across simply saying “God said so”, which has been good for her, I think.

It would be good to watch the DVD again and take notes.

Investment

The stock market is absolutely crashing today – over 800 points down at one point.  It’s not affecting me as much as it would without a biblical perspective.  If anything it’s making me wonder whether I should reallocate those investments toward God rather than ‘our future’ and allow God the opportunity to provide for us.

Dear Lord and Holy Spirit, please reveal to me and [my wife] (jointly) how you want us to be using our money.  As your Word teaches, we are one, and act as one (although am I supposed to take the lead role in the family decisions?).  She is my wife, and I need her support in how we use our money.  Amen.
