General Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank you for my blessings, my wonderful family whom I love so dearly, how you have provided for us, and how you have revealed yourself to me so that we may have the intimate relationship that we share.

I pray that you would be with [my wife] as she carries this baby.  Please keep her and the baby healthy, and please minimize [my wife]’s discomfort throughout her pregnancy.  I pray that you give me and [my wife] guidance in preparing [my oldest daughter] and [my middle daughter] for the coming baby, so that the impact its birth is only positive and joyful.

I pray that you would guide my next steps with regard to serving you.  I know that you expect me to use the gifts that you’ve blessed me with, and it feels like I’ve taken a step toward you by submitting my BRD for estimates.  I put the next step in your hands for completion or revelation and I wait expectantly upon you, Lord.

Thank you for paying the price for my sins and I eagerly await your return.  In your name I pray, amen.

Baby on the Way

I am so excited about having another baby!  [My wife] has really struggled these last couple of days with nausea.  I wish I could help in some way, but it’s like she just doesn’t even want me around her.  She’s just been laying in bed all day.  It’s very hard to watch.

One Step at a Time

I sent off my MyBibleDiary BRD to a couple of agencies yesterday, and it felt great.  I feel like, in a way, I’ve done my piece for the time being and now it’s in God’s hands to take or reveal the next step.  That gives me comfort, because I know that whatever God wills to happen will happen, and I have faith that if He wills it, he will reveal to me in His own way and His own time.

Sharing My Faith

Had a good time with mom and [my sister] tonight.  We told them about the baby and they were ecstatic.  Also had a great talk with [my sister] about Christianity and her walk with the Lord.  She definitely appears to be searching, and I opened up to her quite a bit about what it means to be ‘saved’ by God’s grace – similar to WOTM approach.  She expressed that ‘no one has said it to me that way before’, so it seems God was revealing through me tonight, and it feels great!
